The Information Office of Deputy Prime Minister Health Minister Ghassan Hasbani issued the following statement:

The Ministry of Public issued a circular on 27 December 2017 addressed to all hospitals urging them to admit all emergency cases and not to reject any of them on the grounds that the financial ceiling is not available, under penalty of taking the legal necessary measures, such as terminating the contract in 2018 with the hospital that refrains from fulfilling its duties.

The Ministry of Public Health reminded people of its hotline 1214 for queries or information in case they encounter any problem.”
