Jabak Assured the Governmental Hospitals Employees that he would Change the Boards of Directors that Fail to Fulfill their Tasks

Minister of Public Health Dr. Jamil Jabak brought up with the delegation of the constituent body of the governmental hospitals’ employees the problems of the employees, including unpaid salaries, which result from the financial crisis most of the governmental hospitals are experiencing.

“I am aware of all the problems the employees are facing as to the difficult access to their legitimate rights because of ill-treatment by the administration or the lack of financial fund or equipment,” Jabak said in a statement.

“The Ministry of Public Health will proceed with a plan to replace all the boards of directors that fail to fulfill their duties, with recourse to the Civil service Board to appoint employees for the management of the hospital,” Jabak added.

On the salary scale issue, Jabak stated that the employees have the right to earn their overdue salaries and that the issue will be addressed at the level of all the governmental hospitals without exceptions. However more cooperation and time are needed for that.

The constituent body of the governmental hospitals’ employees mentioned in a statement that it had submitted to the Minister claims to instruct the boards of the governmental hospitals to implement the salary scale law to all the employees who also asked that their overdue salaries for 2018 be paid.

In parallel, and in its effort to promote and develop the national pharmaceutical industry, the Ministry of Public Health held a two-day training session on Medicines’ Good Manufacturing Practices.
