Results of National & Mop-Up Campaigns during 2014

National Immunization and Mop-up campaigns for year 2014 

The Primary Health Care Department at the MoPH has implemented three Mop-up campaigns during the months of July, August and September and four National Immunization Campaigns for the months of March, April, October and November, during the year 2014 (Table 1).

  • On April 2014, the National Immunization Campaign targeted immunization against Polio, Measles and Rubella (MR). The rest of the months, stated in the table, targeted immunization against polio only.
 
The month of October, achieved a great success in reaching 91% of our target in vaccinating children under 5 years old against polio, among which 48% of the total vaccinated children were Syrian and other nationalities.
November achieved a greater success by reaching 96% of our target in vaccinating children under 5 years old against polio, among which 45% of the total vaccinated children were Syrian and other nationalities. Examples of these recreation days are highlighted below.
