Hasbani Meets Representatives of the International Organizations and the Donor Countries

Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister Ghassan Hasbani held an emergency consultative meeting with the representatives of the international organizations and the donor countries at a time when not enough funds are provided to Lebanon. Part of funding the country has received had gone to the implementation of the required health programs and the provision of vaccines in view of the influx of Syrian refugees.

Hasbani briefed the attendees on the situation of Lebanon’s health sector, and stressed on the urgent need to increase the financial support and improve coordination between the attendees. This will contribute to keeping Lebanon free from epidemics, ensuring the sustainability of health security and remaining prepared to any emergency that might happen in the coming months as a result of the storms in Lebanon, in particular in the displaced person’s camps.
