MoPH Explains what Happened at Al Makassed Hospital

The information office of the Ministry of Public Health issued the following statement:

The news circulated in the last few hours on social media on the cases of two patients admitted to the emergency service of Al-Makassed Hospital was false. The Ministry of Public Health contacted the Hospital’s administration to investigate the two cases and found that the first patient was admitted to the emergency service of the hospital and he was confirmed to be in stable condition. The deceased patient was found to be poisoned after she drank a toxic substance. Her condition was already critical and doctors couldn’t save her.

We call on all the residents not to spread any news on social media before verifying its accuracy, as we remind them that they can call the Ministry’s hotline at 1214 for any complaint.
