Hasbani Meets with a Delegation of the Order of Pharmacists. "Reforms Should be Immediately Implemented"
Deputy Prime Minister Health Minister Ghassan meets with the board of directors of the pharmacists’ syndicate presided by Georges Sili, following the decision of lowering the prices of more than 900 kinds of medicines, and restructuring royalty payment of pharmacists. The attendees discussed the timing and ways to implement these decisions in the next two weeks.
Speaking to Hasbani, Sili said: “The pharmacists’ Syndicate in Lebanon expresses its gratitude and appreciation to your excellency, for your courage in the decisions taken, while others hesitated. You have proved trustworthy in human’s health protection. People are proud of those who dedicate themselves for the general service.”
Hasbani thanked the pharmacists for their efforts at the healthcare and humanitarian levels and stressed on the importance of implementing immediately the reform package, including the use of “barcode”, which prevents the entrance of illegal drugs to the markets, the activation of the medicine file of the patient in addition to the finalization of the guidelines that will be developed between the Ministry and the syndicate to launch the common inspection between the two parties on pharmacies.
