On Thursday, March 20, a malaria case in a fifty-year-old woman was reported in one of the hospitals in Sidon.
The Ministry of Public Health would like to clarify the following:
The patient responded well to treatment and she is now in stable condition.
The epidemiological surveillance teams at the Ministry are pursuing research and analysis in the surrounding area and examining samples to determine the causes and source of the disease.
The Ministry of Public Health calls on all the physicians to pay special attention to any case that might be similar and inform the competent Ministry to take action.
There are no similar cases for the time being and a high quality treatment is available.
There is nothing to worry about and any developments will be clarified on time.
