Press Release on a Malaria Case
On Thursday, March 20, a malaria case in a fifty-year-old woman was reported in one of the hospitals in Sidon.
The Ministry of Public Health would like to clarify the following:
- The patient responded well to treatment and she is now in stable condition.
- The epidemiological surveillance teams at the Ministry are pursuing research and analysis in the surrounding area and examining samples to determine the causes and source of the disease.
- The Ministry of Public Health calls on all the physicians to pay special attention to any case that might be similar and inform the competent Ministry to take action.
- There are no similar cases for the time being and a high quality treatment is available.
- There is nothing to worry about and any developments will be clarified on time.
