The Ministry of Public Health represented by its Director General Professor Walid Ammar and the National Certification Committee on Poliomyelitis Eradication honored the Chairperson of the Committee Dr. Ghasssan Issa for the efforts he exerted for many years to support the Ministry and keep Lebanon polio-free.

This ceremony was held after the WHO Regional Commission for Certification of Poliomyelitis Eradication appointed Dr. Ghassan Issa as a member in the mentioned Commission to contribute with the support of all the countries in the eradication of polio from the Eastern Mediterranean region and the world.
