Consultative Meeting on Reducing the Consumption of Table Salt in Lebanon
Within the framework of the national plan for the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases, in particular the healthcare policies to reduce the consumption of table salt and sodium, the Director General of the Ministry of Public Health held a meeting on Wednesday, 3 January, 2018 with academics, experts from local bakeries and concerned persons from the Ministry of Public Health to discuss the best practices to reduce the level of salt in the Lebanese bread, given its positive role in the reduction of health risks of cardiovascular diseases.
