Minister Abiad Met with UNICEF Regional Director

 
الأبيض استقبل المديرة الاقليمية لليونيسف وشدد على علاج المسببات الرئيسية لتفشي الكوليرا وتأمين مياه نظيفة غير ملوثة

استقبل وزير الصحة في حكومة تصريف الاعمال الدكتور فراس الابيض، في مبنى الوزارة، المديرة الاقليمية لليونيسف في الشرق الاوسط وشمال افريقيا أديل خُضر، على رأس وفد من اليونيسف ضم ممثلها في لبنان ادوارد بيجبيدر . وتناول البحث تطورات وباء الكوليرا في لبنان، ونوهت خضر بالاستجابة السريعة التي قامت بها وزارة الصحة لاحتواء التفشي وتأمين اللقاح ونشره في غضون فترة زمنية قياسية، كما وضعت الابيض في أجواء الزيارات الميدانية التي قامت بها الى المناطق حيث الانتشار الاوسع للكوليرا، ومنها ببنين.

من جهته أثنى الوزير الابيض على "الجهود التي تقوم بها المنظمات الدولية ومن بينها اليونيسف لتأمين لقاح الكوليرا"، وشدد على "ان التلقيح ضد الكوليرا ضروري للحد من انتشار الوباء، حيث تشمل الخطة الوطنية تلقيح جميع المقيمين على الاراضي اللبنانية من دون أي استثناء، ولكن الى جانب ذلك علينا علاج المسببات الرئيسية للتفشي، وتأمين مياه نظيفة غير ملوثة ومعالجة الصرف الصحي".

ولفت إلى أن "الاستجابة التي نعتمدها لمواجهة الكوليرا في هذه المرحلة تتضمن، الى جانب التلقيح، تكثيف الترصد الوبائي وتأمين مستوى عالٍ من الجهوزية للتدخل في الحالات الطارئة من تفشي الكوليرا".

كما تمت مناقشة مشاريع التعاون المشتركة، ومنها البرنامج الوطني للتحصين وكيفية زيادة نسب الاطفال الملقحين (وذلك وفقاً للرزنامة الوطنية للتلقيح الروتيني)، وبرامج التغذية المبكرة خلال فترة الحمل وفي مرحلة الطفولة المبكرة.
