Since 21 February to 21 March 2020, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases has reached 187, including the cases that were diagnosed at Rafik Hariri University Hospital, and those reported from other university hospitals accredited from the Ministry; (An additional 24 cases were confirmed since yesterday).

The Ministry of Public Health continues to follow up on the collection of specimens from all the suspect cases.  It is also conducting contact tracing and checking the people who had travelled from countries where cases have been reported. The epidemiological surveillance is conducted for some cases that were recently diagnosed.

The Ministry of Public Health urges all the citizens to comply with the strict measures taken by the official authorities, in particular home isolation, unless absolutely necessary.
