Training of Trainers on Hospital Death Certification

As part of the ongoing work on quality of causes of death, the Statistics Department at the Ministry of Public Health has organized a training of trainers (ToT) workshop on the identification and coding of causes of death in collaboration with the World Health Organization and in cooperation with the Syndicate of hospitals.

The ToT was conducted for medical doctors over a period of 3 days (26-28 August 2019). 157 hospitals were invited and 112 attended the workshop.
In total, during this phase of the training, 103 doctors were trained on how to properly certify the cause of death, and they will receive certificates of participation in the workshop.
